Animal nutrition focuses on the dietary needs of domesticated animals, primarily those in agriculture and food production. The diet of stock particularly consists of plants and plant merchandise, though some foods of animal origin like fishmeal and milk area unit employed in restricted amounts. Animals depend on plants for his or her existence and consequently a study of animal nutrition should essentially begin with the plant itself. There area unit seven major categories of nutrients: carbohydrates, fats, fibre, minerals, protein, vitamin, and water.
